    Find the best nursing bra

Find the best nursing bra for you at Carriwell

We are constantly working to make the best nursing bra, which is why at Carriwell you will find a large selection of nursing bras with and without Gel Support in three neutral colors, black, white and beige.

When choosing which nursing bra to wear, the most important thing is to find the nursing bra in which you experience the greatest comfort.

All our nursing bras are made of soft materials and without annoying seams. In addition, our nursing bras are made with wide straps so you get extra good support, and if you take a closer look at our bras made of a seamless material, the nursing bra expands with your breast, it stretches as they grow and returns to its previous size when the breast is emptied of milk.

Wear a nursing bra while pregnant

Many people are advised to wait to buy their nursing bra until after they have given birth, but it is actually recommended to start using a nursing bra when you are 5 months into your pregnancy.
It is also recommended to avoid bras with metal underwires from the 6th month and while breastfeeding, as this can clog your mammary glands in the breast and increase the risk of mastitis. However, we have developed Gel-Support, which provides similar support as a metal underwire, but allows the milk to flow without clogging your glands.

A nursing bra with us is designed to expand up to two cup sizes back and forth, so the bra adapts to the breast as the milk flows.

In addition, all of our nursing bras come with a bra extender, so you can safely buy a nursing bra during pregnancy without worrying about whether you will get bigger in circumference after pregnancy.

How to find your nursing bra size.

For each nursing bra on our website you will find a size chart for each nursing bra, where you can read what size your nursing bra should be. If you want the most qualified quote, you can also enter the cm measurement under your chest and the measurement above your bust, the calculator will then give the best qualified quote for which size you should choose. It is important to remember that bras can vary in size, we therefore recommend that you enter your measurements for each individual bra.

Types of closure in nursing bras.

At Carriwell you will find two types of openings for nursing bras, what we categorize as the 'classic' opening, which can be opened and closed with one hand. In addition, our night nursing bra is made as a crossover that allows you to pull the fabric to the side, making the breast accessible to your baby.

Underwire or no underwire in your nursing bra?

It is not recommended that you wear underwired bras from the 6th month of your pregnancy and while breastfeeding. But that doesn't mean you have to miss the support that underwires provide. Here at Carriwell we have the patented Gel-Support, which provides the same support as underwires, but is designed so that the heat from the breast allows the milk to flow through the breast without any problems.

Should your nursing bra be with or without padding?

We have a large range, which means that you can freely choose between nursing bras that have both with and without inserts in the chest. Nursing bras with inserts are made to give you extra support, which is especially recommended for those of you who have a larger bust. Should you change your mind if you have bought a nursing bra with inserts, you can rest assured that the smart thing about a Carriwell nursing bra with inserts is that you can always take them out again and use them as one of the bras without.

    Remember reusable nursing pads

We have both nursing pads made of organic cotton and nursing pads made of silk and organic materials. Silk has especially good properties if you experience nipple cracking and scabbing. See our entire selection here.

    Carriwell recommends

We recommend that you purchase several nursing bras. Many people experience a greater production of milk, especially when the milk comes in, and for many, production can be difficult to keep up with, which results in the nursing bra getting wet.

Are you still unsure about which nursing bra to choose? Don't hesitate to write to us and we will be happy to help you make the right decision for you.
